About Our Audio Engineer
Chris Pinset • Producer • Recording Engineer • Mix Engineer • Mastering EngineerChris Pinset, also known professionally as Chris Max Pinset, is a New York music producer, recording engineer and mix engineer whose studio career reaches back to the mid-1990s. Raised in Jamaica, Queens during hip-hop’s formative era, Pinset developed his production and recording skills from an early age and went on to spend much of his professional life inside recording studios.
His career includes studio, production and engineering work connected to artists across multiple generations of hip-hop and R&B. Early New York sessions placed him around Black Rob, G-Dep, Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel. He later worked on KRS-One’s Adventures in Emceeing project, which involved Chuck D and MC Lyte, and developed a long-running creative relationship with Redman during the Red Gone Wild era.
Pinset later established the Rockland County recording environment that became Mood Recording, where major-label veterans, respected underground artists and independent musicians have recorded, produced, mixed and developed projects. His approach combines analog equipment, detailed monitoring and modern digital production with an emphasis on vocal presence, low-end control, musicality and mixes that translate across real-world playback systems.
The list below reflects documented career, session, project and studio connections from Chris Pinset’s professional history. Each artist name opens a music-database search for additional artist and discography information.
Mixing and mastering services are engineered by Chris Pinset using professional monitoring, analog outboard processors and modern digital production tools. The goal is to build a finished record that feels musical, competitive and consistent across headphones, phones, cars, clubs, radio and streaming platforms.
Remote mixing and mastering are available for artists who cannot attend an in-studio session. Artists can send properly prepared stems, vocals, instrumentals, reference tracks and project notes online while maintaining a clear professional workflow from submission through final delivery.
