Cheezy Bout Cash

Being an artist is about self-expression, and rising rapper Cheezy Bout Cash is a master at layering his music with emotions that any audience can relate to.

Born in Atlanta, 25-year-old Roschod Jenkins moved to the city of Broward County, Florida at the age of 2 where he grew up listening to hip hop legends like Lil Wayne and later, Future. He would adopt the stage name Cheezy Bout Cash while writing to popular instrumentals. Soon he transitioned to making original tracks himself, which evidently turned into a deeper passion after friends would compliment him on his talent and potential. In 2011, Cheezy Bout Cash finally committed himself to focusing on his career and he has been growing his fanbase ever since.

Growing up in section 8, Cheezy Bout Cash knows of the hardships that can crumble dreams and destroy lives. This background generated a sound synonymous with a voice and style that brought the pain and struggle to life in his music. He would go on to release heartfelt singles like “Progression,” “Bottom of the Map,” “Change on Me” and his 2019 EP “Emotional Harmony.” Together they have brought the artist hundreds of thousands of streams over all platforms. His new single “Times Gettin Harder” featuring fellow Broward County artist FCG Heem aims to break new barriers for the rapper. Its composition reflects the struggle and obstacles endured by Cheezy Bout Cash when his son came into the world. FCG Heem pours emotional bars that compliment the pain of the song over his unique flow.

Cheezy Bout Cash is grinding to make it from the mud to mainstream status. Working on a lot, he plans on releasing an EP at the start of the new year and two upcoming singles, “TBH (To Be Honest)” and another featuring Ex 1017 signee Yung Mal aka Big Pissy.
